Navibulgar launched its tenth new 32,000-ton ship
The bulk carrier is named "Kamenitsa" - the third in the company's history with this name
The tenth 32,000-ton bulk carrier, out of a total of 15 ordered by Navibulgar AD, is now at sea. The company announced that its flag was raised at the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding on January 9.
The ship's godmother, Reni Decheva, named it "KAMENITZA", making it the third in the company's history to bear that name. Decheva is the former head of the Human Resources Management department at Navibulgar.

The first captain of the newly built ship will be Capt. Mariyan Yotov, and its first chief engineer - Eng. Dimitar Dimitrov.
On October 3, 1980, the flag of the newly built 24,150-ton bulk carrier "Kamenitza" (KAMENITZA - IMO 8006256), the tenth in the "Balkan" series, was raised at the "G. Dimitrov" shipyard in Varna. At that time, it was equipped according to the requirements of the USA and Canada for sailing in the Great Lakes of North America. The first captain was Capt. Ivan Delchev, and the vessel served in the fleet of Navibulgar until July 14, 2012, when it arrived in Alang (India), where it was sold for scrap.

On October 23, 2015, the flag of the second bulk carrier with the name "Kamenitsa" was raised. It had a deadweight of 32,600 tons. It was built in 2010 in Liaoning Hohgguang Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, Panjin, China. Its name was changed to "Kamenitsa" under the command of Capt. Strahil Ivanov and Chief Engineer - Eng. Todor Dimov. On July 29, 2020, it was sold to another shipowner.
